Ian is an experienced senior international business leader with a demonstrated history in both commercial and operational excellence. He has worked for various MNC’s within the chemical sector for 30+ years.

Most recently working for Fujifilm Ink Solutions Group as Chief Operating Officer, he led an international team across multiple sites in USA, UK and India responsible for £150m and 600 people.

Prior to Fujifilm he was GM for Synthomer’s (FTSE250) performance polymers business operating in various sectors including plastics, automotive and adhesives.

Previous to Synthomer he held various senior business management positions at Arizona Chemical (based in NL) and Cabot Corporation (both UK and NL).

He believes the real power of what we can achieve happens when people are supported to perform at their best and work in active collaboration with all stakeholders. A central part of this is investing in people and throughout his career he has invested significantly in health and wellbeing initiatives.

As a father of five and an avid runner, he believes self-care is one of the cornerstones of success.

Ian is a Director of the An Darus multi academy trust in Cornwall and a qualified ECB cricket umpire.

Interesting Facts
Cricket is my sporting passion and I’m an ECB qualified umpire standing in the Cornwall league. I enjoy running and challenging myself generally completing my first marathon at age 55 and the three peaks challenge (<24hours) a few years ago.
